Not sure what to say?

Harold, your smiles and polite "Haiyas!" will be greatly missed. Giving you Christmas cookies every year was a joy. You will be greatly missed and its very sad to see you go.

Harold always took care of the neighborhood. Every time I hear someone shoveling the sidewalks I think of him. He helped to make us feel safe because he was always around watching. He is missed and won't be forgotten.

I think this is the John LaBar I knew as a child. If he is I remember most our joy of coin collecting as a childhood hobby. He was also a friend as we went through grade and high school. Although we didn't connect after High School I often thought of John. I am sorry it ended as it did.

A Childhood Friend.

I remember "Harold" from when I worked for the Lehigh County Historical Society. He would always keep our paper safe from thieves until someone was at the front desk. I fondly remember him knocking on the door, waving, and leaving the paper. I never made it to the door to thank him with words over a friendly smile from the desk. He was a special soul with a very warm heart and a silent smile.

My deepest sympathies to Mr. Labar's family and friends. I did not know Mr. Labar but would see him often walking about with a smile on his face, a sweet soul. May he rest in peace.
