John Lechman Jr.

John J. Lechman, Jr., 88, of George St., Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs, CT. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late John J., Sr. and Pauline (Rozman) Lechman. John retired as a maintenance foreman from United Aircraft after 28 years of employment. He was a member of St. Edward Parish, honorary life member of the Stafford Fish and Game Club, the Italian Benefit Society, and the Rev. Felix J. O'Neil Council #1395 Knights of Columbus. John is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Helen (Hnath) Lechman of Stafford Springs, CT; a son and daughter-in-law, James J. and Marjorie Lechman of Vernon, CT; a daughter and son-in-law, Marie T. and Alfred Gagnon of Vernon, CT; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Margaret Lechman of Vernon, CT; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Frank A. Lechman. A funeral will be held on Monday, January 22, 2007, with a procession forming at 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Sunday from 2-4 P.M. at the funeral home.
