My sister Mary Ann (who lives in Mineola) called me today with the news of John Henry's passing, which she read in the Dallas Morning News. John Henry was special to the Gay family and especially to me growing up. I remember attending your wedding in Bonham. Peace be with you and your family.

My thoughts and prayers are with at this time. John's journey was extraordinary, and he was a great person. You were truly a very devoted, inspiring, and dear wife to him always.
His life was quite meaningful to so many people.

The memories of your 48 years together are to be celebrated.
