I met jhon through my wk at Boston waterboat, and i thought nothing of it...just another of the extraordinary personalitys which seem so uniquely common, among the historic members whom hav occupied the slips there over the years. As time passed i had the opportunity to just sit and talk with jhon and found him to be informed and inquisitive conversationalist, with genuine intrest and enthusiasm, especially concerning the historic or current happenings around the harbor.

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of John and Louise. I worked for them as a bench jeweler in the eighties, and was always in awe of their jewelry practice, business wise as well as creatively. I am thankful to have worked with, and learned so much from working in their top notch store and shop. Boston has truly gained so much from their caring presence, and has now lost two best friends. Newbury Street will not be the same without them! My sympathy to all the family.
