Not sure what to say?

John was more like a brother than a friend-he was both. I think of him a lot usually with Patty. Love to both always. John was one of the most thoughtful people I have ever met.

John was a great man and great friend-married to a great wife ,Patty. I shared many lessons and learned much from John and still do. Love Jan eric

Very sorry to hear of the passing of John, I worked for John for several years in the mid 90's. He was a great man and I am grateful for the opportunities he created in my life.

Shirley and I were so saddened to hear of John's passing. As the pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Dallas Center, I had the privilege of being the co-officiant at John and Patty's wedding - the priest at the Granger parish assisted at the service held at Pat's home church in Dallas Center. It was a rather ground-breaking sort of co-operation between Protestant and Roman Catholic traditions, thanks to Pope John XX111 (as I recall).

John was a vital, engaging and vital Christian...

So very sorry for your loss. Your family is in
our prayers.

We met at University of Iowa.I learned to be a better human being from John. We shared laughter, peace, protest, academic pursuits, philosophy, arguments, trust, friends, music, astonishments, countless late night talks, weddings, births and many adventures. John was the best of the best. John was my brother. He and Patty were family and will always be.
If I could create a Mount Rushmore I would have the faces of John Lint, Abraham Lincoln, Albert Einstein and Leonardo da Vinci. I am sure...
