Not sure what to say?

Thanks to everyone for their support and kind words over the loss of our father. He would truly be surprised at the outpouring of sympathy and kindness that has been shown to us over the last few months. May God bless each and everyone who took the time to express their concern.

Thanks again.

Laura, Phillip, David and Diane

I grew up listening to "Jolly John" and his polka show every Sunday. When I moved away to college, I made my parents tape a couple of the shows so I could still listen. My deepest sympathies on your loss. Know that he was loved, even by those who did not know him personally.

To Jolly John's family. I had a great time playing in the Satin Brass on those summer nights at Wenona Park. I went to school with the youngest kids at John Glenn. Great memories.

I remember many happy and not so happy occasions that we were together with Jack. I remember my wedding, he was so very funny and the many times he visited my mom and dad, Kay and Bob. I remember seeing him at a club here in Warren with his band. Jack will be greatly missed by all. My deepest sympathies to his loved ones.

John was my closest friend at Central H.S. We touched base periodically for the last 50+ years...I'll miss him

Sorry to read about John's death in the Times. I knew and remembered him well from high school, graduating together in 1952. We talked extensively about old times and changes to Bay City over the years while on our 50th class reunion river cruise. John will be missed by all of his Bay City Central classmates. He was a great musician and a friend to all. We were very proud of his many accomplishments over the years. Walt Malzahn

Harry & I danced quite a few dances to the music John provided. Also, listened to his radio shows with much enjoyment. Now,John can join the Heavenly Polka Band.
May God be with you!!!

Our sincere condolences to John's loving children and their families. Knowing your dad for almost 40 years, I can say he was the consumate radio pro who always loved what he did on and off the air. You can be certain that somwhere up "there," Jolly John is doing his Sunday morning show and the angels are learning how to appreciate polka music.

I met John back in the middle 50's. He was my first boyfriend. We dated for three years then he went on to the service. I use to listen to his music for years! You are in my thoughts John. Love, Judy...
