Not sure what to say?

I was.blessed to have taken John´s inspirational classes from the Osher Institute. He was a great teacher and friend.

We are so sorry for losing a wonderful friend! Gerda and John Reed

John was one of the few teachers I have known who fit the overused term "inspirational". I had the pleasure of taking his Iliad and Odyssey courses with the Osher Institute and was continually amazed at the depths of his insight into those stories. I bought all of his books and his example prompted me to self-publish my own book, which began as a writing project in his classes.

As a hospice volunteer, John offered companionship and counsel to my ailing parents; as a friend, he provided comfort and compassion to my brother and me, both still teenagers, in our time of greatest suffering. He remained an outsized figure in our...

Mr. Livecchi was my beloved freshmen English teacher. He´s the very reason I became an English teacher. His love for his content and students was infectious. Thank you for all of the years of believing in me and supporting my professional endeavors. I´m so sad that you are gone but I appreciate how fortunate I was to have you as a model. My condolences to Mrs. Livecchi. Meg
