John was a good friend. He cared. He helped me when I needed help. He always gave me his precious time.
I had the pleasure of working with John when he was the publisher of the lifestyle magazine. He used to roar back then when things weren't going the way he expected. At times he would even roar at me. But I could see in his eyes he didn't mean to cause me harm.

As a classmate and friend of John's at Middlesex, i remember many a spirited discussion with John on whatever the topic of day might be. And I remember well the graduation party hosted by the Lobkowicz family. My thoughts are with you.

Dear Lobkowicz Family,

Please accept my deep condolences for your great loss. Though I really didn't know John, he was a friend of my older brother Alfred. However, I do remember him vociferously engaging in an acorn war against his brother William and me, while we were stationed in the Lobkowicz family treehouse. I also remember John taking particular delight in Halloween shenanigans on the streets of Milton. Shaving cream and Cherry Bombs were involved...if memory serves.
