Not sure what to say?

We lose track of people along the way; but, their impact is felt far beyond our brief time together. I am a Navy Veteran, Plano Class of 1985, and he was my physics teacher in 1984. Simply put he was bigger than life, always humble and patient. He gave me a love of physics that I took to UNT and still enjoy today. Thinking of him always puts me in a better place. May you have fair winds and following seas sir.

Mr. Loisel was one of my favorite teachers at Plano High School in the early-mid 70's. He was enthusiastic about physics and life in general, and his enthusiasm rubbed off onto the students and turned what I thought would be a difficult subject into a great learning experience. I don't recall him ever mentioning his years as a pilot, and certainly not the fact that he was an Ace. What an humble man. Having lost my father in the past two weeks I know he will be greatly missed by his family...

John was a valued member of the Order of Daedalians, A Fraternity of Military Pilots in Dallas/Fort Worth His aerial victories were shared with many of the Daedalians' military pilots. He was a real gentleman and a true American hero.

Colonel Loisel was my physics instructor in Plano many years ago.

He was an extremely gifted teacher and instructor, and taught the course so well that my college physics course was a piece of cake.

Men like him do not come around very often - he will be missed.

On behalf of the American Fighter Aces Association I wish to extend our deepest sympathies for the loss of John. I met him many times at the Aces Convention and he was always cheerful and full of stories.
