LOMAS, John H. "Jack," 87, of Glen Allen, passed away May 16, 2008. Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy. He is survived by his daughters, Carol (Bryan) and Jackie (Wayne); and grand-daughters, Reanna and Miranda Bibb; and a host of nieces, nephews, and loyal friends. He will be missed by all. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 18, at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad St., where a funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, May 19. Interment to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Jackie and Wayne. So so sorry to hear of Jacks passing.He was a long time friend and commrade in arms WW2.We shared many an experiece together His presence will be greatly missed. Another hero gone. I miss Jack out piddlin' around in the yard or garage, cuttin' wood or grass, ridin' his mower over to shoot the breeze for a while. Always an interesting conversation to be had. I could not have wished for a better friend and neighbor. Sorry for your loss Carol & Jackie.
