My you find peace at this time in your lives. My deepest sympathies.

I have fond memories of John Loomis. Indeed, he was a smart sales tax atty shared by the Tax Bar both inside & outside of the Dept of Revenue. He shared considerable amount of his knowledge and mentored many in how to make sense of Article II of the TRC (Sales & Use Tax). He cared about people. He especially impressed me w/ the pride he took in his work and Dept's SUT processes. Many years back, as an officer coming off my active duty tour w/ the US Army, he immmediately befriended me...

I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Loomis, but in my one time speaking with him, he truly showed that he was a man of great character and a genuine heart. May his loving soul rest with the angels.

Uncle John was something else. In marrying his neice, I had the in-law thing to deal with and then there was...Uncle John. The stories I heard would frighten anyone. Come to find out, he was a swell man and he and I made fast friends. The laughs, the comaraderie and the love we had is rivaled by few. I will miss my Uncle, but more important to me is, I'll miss my friend. Rest well Uncle John, I'll see you on the other side.

Dearest Dian -- Doris and I extend our sincerest sympathies on your loss. We go back a long, long way, and our memories of you and John will forever be green.

With sympathy, to the Loomis family.

John was a dear friend who worked with me in the Dept of Revenue for many, many years. My office is in Pittsburgh, but I called John frequently for legal advice over the years, and we became fast friends. He always made me laugh before we ended our conversation and I was so sad when he retired. One of my few trips to Harrisburg was for his retirement party. John was a man of integrity and honor. May God Bless you with the comfort of knowing that John is in good hands.

Back in 1971, when John was assigned to assisting the initial start of the PA PIT Bureau at the Park Penn Bldg., he spent many hours teaching me the Rules and Regulations of the PIT Act. Without his endeavors, I would not have been able to advance as far as I did within the Department of Revenue.
His kindness and generosity will be greatly missed.

May he find peace and comfort with our Lord.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.
