Read MoreJohn was my shipmate and fellow chief aboard USS Nashville. He transferred from the ship when he was selected to Warrant Officer. He always wanted to "pipe me over the side" when I retired in 1984, but he was at sea during that time. So, Janice came to my retirement and piped me over the side just as well as any good Boatwains Mate!! I miss him dearly ... condolences to Janice and family.
