I was 10 the first time I saw an AVHS football game in 1975. I fell in love with High school football watching his teams play when they were the only game in town in the 70s.

I have many great memories of Coach Lowry at the Antelope Valley High School from 1969 to 1972. He not only helped me become a better athlete but also a beyter person. Our prayers go out to his family.

John was the epitome of Mentor in the Antelope Valley. Taking me on as a Varsity WR/DB coach my first year out of college. Everything i know about Coaching I learned from Coach Lowry! because of him i had a very successful 35 year tenure of Coaching football at Palmdale High School. He was affectionately known as "Coach God" in the AV! because he could literally make it stop storming on game day! he will be truly missed, and always appreciated for his service to our youth.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. Bob Stewart

Tina and John, you have been an amazing team, sharing such love, fun and energy with us over the years. I believe that I speak for all of our friends in the Class of 1962 at Salpointe when I say that John was truly loved and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Tina. Let us know what you might need. Lots of love! Nancy Monroe

John John, you will forever live in our hearts. Freddie and I were blessed to have you and Tina be such wonderful friends, always standing by and supporting us. While you are now in Freddie's presence, I will continue to stand by and support Tina until we all meet again. Much love.

John was a tremendous influence to all he taught and coached. I never met anyone who didn't just love this man. He will be missed by all that knew him. RIP my friend.
