Not sure what to say?

This man literally saved my life from Breast Cancer, I will never forget him.

It was sad to hear of John's passing. Please know that many of John's high school classmates are reacting with shock as they learned the news on Facebook. I work with the DCHS Alumni Hall of Fame and we would like to nominate John for the honor. We need his dates of college and Army service to add to his application. If the family could contact me with further information on John. My email is [email protected] The website is dchsalumni.org where you can read about this organization...

I was so sorry to hear about John's death. I was a nurse on 4 South at St Luke's hospital in Boise, ID. As a new nurse just out of college, I feared when he came on the floor. He always wanted the best care for his patients and counted on the nurses to do this.

I'M SO SORRY TO HEAR OF DR LUNGS PASSING.
HE WAS ALWAYS SO SPECIAL TO ME, GETTING TO WORK
WITH HIM.

I was a very young, silly Unit Clerk when I first met Dr. Lung during my duties at St. Luke's Hospital back in 1979. Nobody could call this man a slacker in any way, shape, or form. He made us all step it up a notch or five, and that's not a bad thing. I admired his knowledge and skill, and I was determined to be a reliable part of his duties at our hospital. Later on in my life, I needed his skills at MSTI. Thankfully, it turned out to be nothing. However, Dr. Lung would have been the...

I was 31 and in walked this talk, tan, handsome doctor. When I left the MSTI office that day I felt confident and ready to attack the cancer in my breast. The day after surgery was my 32nd birthday. My lunch tray arrived with a glass of wine on it! How does a busy surgeon with countless pressures affecting lives, think to ask that wine come with my lunch?! He had operated on one other young mother that week, I was told, and he wanted us to see our children grow up. I am 63 and have 6...

Thank you Dr. Lung for being such an inspiration. I will forever remember your tireless dedication to your patients, your humble nature, and your sense of humor. When I worked for you many years ago as a nurse side you taught me the importance of conveying compassion as an everyday practice. I remember how your patients would happily boast about what a kind man you are, how you took the time to care for them. Some of these patients were not seen by you in years. Your impact was vast and it...

John made the sort of impact on my family's life that words cannot fully express. Those who had the privilege of knowing him will understand. He was a brilliant and compassionate doctor, a fine friend and a good man by anyone's measure.

With sincerest condolences and much love to his family,

He saved my life on more than one occasion.
