I just heard about the news. I am so sorry for your loss.

I can remember growing up & having Cub Scouts with you & Jay at your place on 29th street.

I will be saying a special prayer for you all this coming Sunday at church. I know I never kept in touch very well, but he was a good friend.

I can always count on John for a smile. All through school my gentle friend had a calm demeanor and upbeat presence. The many church activities we participated in, whether volunteered by our mothers or not, I knew we would have fun. Through the years, as I came home to visit, I knew there was always a hug or a quick comment, joke or retort to put another smile on my face.
