Waddy was a very kind man. He let me hang around the pro shop when I was a little kid and always had time to give me a golf tip. Thoughts and prayers for the family.

I foundly remember Wassy when he was the club house master at MVCC.... He and my dad worked together there... My dad was a greens keeper and Wassy later moved up to club house master... Many, many years later i ran into him when Wassy coached two of our children at Baer Memorial Field.. Wassy was a huge credit and a icon to the youth throughout the Lehighton area and will be sadly missed...Our thoughts and prayers go out the entire family......

Wassy was an absolute Legend. I can remember him from my days as a kid at MVCC. You never saw him without a smile on his face. I can´t think of MVCC and not immediately think of Wassy. He was a great person. I´m very sorry for such a huge loss. You are all in my prayers. Erin Shober

Very sorry to hear this. Wassy made my first golf club for me in the early '80s - a cut-down 7-iron that I carried everywhere at the MVCC. I also remember him being like this sage who knew answers to questions about the place that no one else did. Hearing, "Ask Wassy; he probably knows," wasn't uncommon.
