John M. "Johnny" Cook, 60 of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Sunday, March 20, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital-Bartlett in Bartlett, Tennessee. Born Friday, May 27, 1955 in Dyer County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late William Watson "Dub" Cook and the late Clestia Fox Cook. He was an employee of Ermco for over twenty years; served his country in the United States Army and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Funeral services for Mr. Cook will be 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy Ballinger and Mr. Kenneth Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Dyer County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife of thirty one years, Diane Cook of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one son, John Michael Cook of Memphis, Tennessee; two daughters, Christy Wright of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Jennifer Holyoke of Vevay, Indiana; four sisters, Joyce Ozment and Jennie Fitzgerald both of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Angeline Bell of Troy, Tennessee and Carolyn Dale Peery of Independence, Kansas; 6 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Phillip Cook and four sisters, Edna Cohrn, Dinah Hughes, Darlene Rickman and Marsha Wolfe.
