Dear Betty, Lynn & Blair, Les & Dennis, Margo & Families

As we all know Jack was a very special and wonderful man to all.

Jack loved to be with children, whether it was swimming or boating in the Shuswap, going for hikes, going for car rides for an ice cream stop or just talking with them. In later years he would always want to talk about the kids. When he was unable to drive himself he would always want to be the navigator and would offer some cute statements about Betty’s...

Sister Betty, nieces Lynn, Les & Margo...who could ever forget our years together in Cochrane. Brother Jack was a tremendous teacher, leader & friend. Even this old hockey player from Manitoba found out he could attain good marks in Jack's school. He was without adoubt a cornerstone in the development of my character which led to my career in law enforcement. As a friend, mentor and brother-in-law, he will be sorely missed. Our sympathy, we are all stronger when we stand together. ...

Dear Betty, Margo, Leslie, Lynn,
We are so sorry to learn of Jack's passing. Both of us remember his classes in Cochrane well ... many a story has been recounted at gatherings of schoolmates from the early 60s! You may not remember Jack taking us and our young sons in from being stuck on a...

Dear Betty & Family,

Our thoughts are with you at this time. I will cherish all my memories of Jack during our many trips to your place.

Dear Betty, we wish you strength as for us a friend forever has passed away: we will miss him dearly! Kitty and Joop

Dear Betty,
I felt so sad when I found out Jack was gone. I often think of you both fondly. My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Love Cathy

To Jack's family: Mr. MacDonnell was a very good teacher, he was strict and expected alot. We have often thought of his grammer lessons, especially when taking university English. Our sympathy to all of you.

Mr. Macdonell was a teacher of mine in Cochrane. I always appreciated his teaching skills and remember him working with me personally when I ran in track and field events. I always had great respect for him. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Please accept my deepest sympathies in the loss of your husband and father. I had the pleasure of meeting John at a piano recital held at Margo's place a few years ago.
