Dear Marnie and family, It has been a privilege to be a friend of Jack's for 70 years. We grew up in the same neighborhood in Reno on the banks of the Truckee river. As youths, we would spend many summer days pulling crawdads out of the river. As teens we spent our summers on the city park tennis courts where we teamed up to win the doubles championship. As young men I was honored to be Jack's best man at his wedding to his first wife, Madeline. After college our lives took different...

We are sorry to learn our friend, Jack, has passed on to the place where we all aspire. We will miss talking with Jack during our once in awhile phone calls. Dear Marnie: Nancy and I want to let you know how very sorry we are to hear of our dear friend Jack's passing. Jack and I grew up together in Reno in the 1930s and 40s. we lived one block from each other for years. We played on at least two or three baseball teams..Jack at first base and me at third.
