Butts sat down and taught me that song my very first time at summer camp. I was about twelve years old. I wanted to learn it so I could take it back and teach the other kids in my troop. That was in 1980. Now I sing it to my...

I am so sorry to hear about this great loss. How well I remember being in Immanuel's choir with Butt's...and was so happy to see him again at the Anniversary dinner. I loved his siblings...and his family. Heaven's music is sounding a lot better already. Bev Rutledge

Butts was a true Scouting legend, and a great friend that so many of us looked up to. His dedication to his family and Scouting will go on as unmatched by anyone. I consider myself a very lucky man to have been able to spend so much time with him at Scouting events and when he would visit with me at my house for so many years.

Butts will truly be missed, but, I am sure he is already seeking out all of his Scouting friends who went before him, and is rekindling memories that we will...
