John Ward Madden

John Madden was a legend in the City and County of San Francisco! He was kind, considerate, and committed. He never forgot those with whom he worked. He was always available to provide advice & assistance when asked. His guidance should remain part of both active and retired City employee organizations. He was truly one of a kind. He had a wonderful family and many of us will remain grateful for his legacy. We are also grateful for the family members he involved with the City who continue...

Ward will be missed in all ways. As his son in law, he treated me like his son. He was always the most genuine, honest, and humble man that I have ever met. He inspired and his memory is a blessing to all that were lucky enough to know him and be blessed by his love. Go Niners!

A great guy has left too soon. A real rock, steady and reliable. He was always welcoming and a genuine friend in the truest sense of the word. He will be sorely missed May he rest in God's arms now until we meet again.
