I am so saddened by Mike´s passing..my best to you and your family.

So very sorry to hear of Mike's passing. I was his son Keven's teacher in pre-school, elementary and high school. He was a wonderful student raised by wonderful parents. Mike was truly a kind and generous person and it was a privilege to know him. My condolences to Jan and the rest of his family.

Mike was a fraternity brother in Sigma Chi, a happy and jovial sort, who always seemed to be smiling. Perhaps that smiling countenance was a reflection of the optimism that led him to religiously purchase lottery tickets, not for the purpose of increasing his personal wealth but rather to enable him to fulfill his dream of building a group home for those, like his son, Kevin, had special needs. 1991 was the year his dream was to take shape. For his long and fulfilling life, his goals...

I knew you , but not well, Mike. I was one year behind you at Grant. We were neighbors a few years ago until you moved, in the Claremont neighborhood. RIP Jim Fearl
