Coach Majors will be missed

Coach Majors was a good man. I've met him in person about 4 times where I saw him.

Coach Majors was a great man and a great teacher. I had the privilege of sitting in a classroom at Pitt when he spoke to graduate students about leadership. He was compelling and inspirational. My sympathy to his family.

Thank you Coach Johnny Majors! You were a great one. Hail to PITT!

Johnny Majors, you & your wife Mary Lynn, were pure delight during your time @ Iowa State in Ames, Iowa. You brought our entire university & town total joy as a coach & community members. I learned the love of the game each Saturday from your coaching & thank you for teaching me that. In memory of my parents & your friends John & Betty Doran, thank you for being such a bright star in Ames & Iowa States football legacy. My deepest sympathies to your entire family at this time of great loss.

Ive been a fan of Johnny ever since I saw him play for Huntland,Tn as a visiting team to my home town,When he came back from Pitt was a dream come true,he always had time to speak with anyone,we met him at the Jack Daniel BarBQ where he was a judge and was so much fun to talk to I will always treasure that time spent with him,It just wont be the same without John Majors around

Thank you coach Majors for allowing me to be a part of your Pitt staff (93-96).
I enjoyed working with you.
