Mr Mal for all intents and purposes was the Metuchen Ymca. I have many fond memories of Mr Mal as well as Mrs Mal who made the best brownies in the world. He was an absolute gentleman and always encouraged people to do their very best. I am fortunate to have known him in my travels. Rip Mr Mal.

I always looked forward to seeing Mr. Mal at the Metuchen Y when I went for the Y's Kung Fu classes as a teen. He had a smile on his face and enjoyed talking about the activities at the Y. My condolences to his family

Wow...I have to say my heart just sank. Mr. Mal was my diving coach in the early to mid 1970's at the YMCA. What a phenomenal man and awesome coach. He had a profound impact on me and I still carry around a lot of what he taught me to this day. My heart and prayers go out to his family during this time. His impact on many young people is immeasurable.
