My name is Roy Laycox. I had the pleasure of working with big John for many years. He was quite the character. A good friend. A good brother. See you in Heaven John.

I became friends with John while working at the paper. Our friendship grew over the years as brother and sister. When the paper shut down we still stayed in touch. Weekly phone calls and sometimes outings to Costco. Every friday he would call me and say Congratulations you made it threw another week.
