Mr. Mansour was one of the greatest teachers I ever had the privilege of studying with. He was a master story teller and my love of history was awakened in his class at Allegany Central in 6th grade. He was a great soul.

John, I'll always remember you.

As an elementary student, John served as an inspiration to me, in his classroom. I knew that someday I would become a teacher. John preached respect and humility. He made it his business to know each student. Years later, I would take my students to the Olean Public Library, where John would greet them with the same respect he demonstrated to his students. John will be dearly missed.

I am sorry to hear of John's passing. He was a wonderful teacher, scholar, and man. We had many delightful discussions about books and my visits to the library were never quite the same after John retired. He enriched so many lives and is missed.
