John MARCHUK passed away in Regina, Saskatchewan. The obituary was featured in Leader-Post on December 16, 2017.
We have many memories of John, from pulling his backpack around NZ, as he had a broken collar bone to his warm welcome in Regina, and his long chats. Our deepest sympathy to the family. Colin and Gayleen Mansell, Auckland New Zealand.

We were saddened to hear of John's passing. As neighbours and friends of the College Avenue Marchuks it was satisfying to read of John's successful teaching career and his rare and special contribution as a male kindergarten teacher. He will be missed.

I owe John a debt of gratitude for having been my kind, decent, steady boyfriend from when we met at the University of Saskatchewan, Regina Campus swimming pool in September 1969 to when he joined me in Adelaide in September 1974. My sincerest sympathies go to his immediate and extended family members and to his more recent friends.
