John Robert Marshall

Vancouver will be forever grateful to Mr. Marshall for his many contributions! He and my dad were educators together, and, later, I knew his children. Especially John as we graduated high school in the same class and attended a few dances together too! He was always so kind to me (as was the whole family) and had the best laugh! Love to the Marshall family. I know how much he will be missed.

I was honored to work with John Marshall at the City of Vancouver. John did not seek out awards or recognition. They came his way because of his positive nature, enthusiasm and just plain hard work. We would not have the beautiful Historic Reserve today without John and other visionaries. My deepest sympathy to his family.

My heart goes out to John´s family. He has left such an amazing legacy and there will be so much for his grand and great grandchildren to learn from. I have wonderful memories while John was a patient of Dr David Hansons dental office. As a dental hygienist, he was my patient when I first moved here from Minnesota and he immediately embraced me as a newcomer. My second visit from him he brought me sheet music of a song that included my name! We had talked about the love of music , piano...
