I only knew John late in his life. He was larger than life even then and made me feel as though I was his son! We shared memories thoughts and attidudes about many things and most often aggreed totally.
On the rare occasions, I or Carol & I might beat him in Penuckle he would always think I had some sort of system or method he couldn't figure out ~ ya, dumb luck.
I will always remember him as both a father figure and a buddy / close friend: & miss his terribly.

i join all of the family in mourning the passing uncle picky. although i have not seen him in recent years, i sure have plenty of very fond memories of him when i was growing up in ohio and i will always remember his happy nature which i think defined him. he will surely be missed but also remembered fondly.
