A loss of our loved ones is never easy to deal with, but we have hope. We are given a promise and hope that we can see our loves again. They will live on the earth, in peace, and forever.

I only learned about Jack's passing today after reading the marquee at Deer Park Lumber. It saddens me to hear of this terrible news. I was lucky enough to have met Jack in his retirement years. I remember him telling me once I had inspired him to go into business for himself. He was a great man with a great smile & definitely always had that sparkle in his eyes. Until we meet again, RIP sir.

Sorry for the family and friends loss. Jackie, Don Craig, and several others from Galena Park HS were great friends . So many memories and oh how time flys by. Sorry I didn't get to say my goodbyes to him in person. Rest in peace my friend. Your friend always, Frank Pickens.

My deepest condolences on your loss of Mr Matejka. I only know of Mr Matejka through his son, Steve and his wife and my niece, Laura. Steve often spoke of his Dad with such deep respect and the good times that he and their children, Maci and Jake shared with their Grandfather. They will have cherished memories. Mr Matejka led by example and gave the world two upstanding young men and fathers. May God hold Mrs.Matejka , his bride of 50 years and lean unto God for His strength and cling to...

Jackie was my roommate at U of H back in year 1961. He was a friend. Wish I had known Jackie more in life however after our freshman year at U of H I no longer wanted to play football. Reading about Jackie's life makes me very proud to have know him for just that 1 freshman year at school. God bless Jackie and his family.
