John Graves Mattingly III

The Mattingly family is in our daily prayers.

Words don't mean much in the tragic loss of John but the prayers and actions show how much he was loved and by many. May all of his family be blessed and know John is watching from his eternal home with God. We will continue to pray for all of you.

Words cannot express the pain we feel for your tragic loss. May the love of family and friends be with you today and in the coming months.

No bond is as great as that between a parent and child. My deepest condolences are with you as you grieve.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of John. He was such a nice person. Losing a child is never easy, but with God's presence, He will grant you peace. May God calm you in this difficult time.

John was one of the first people I met when I moved to Lexington, we quickly became friends. He was a wonderful person and friend, always willing to walk with me to class, eat with me in the commons (he loved to eat), our dorms were right next door so he was always right there if I needed anything. This world has lost a wonderful person, he would have made a wonderful teacher,(he had to tutor me on occasion). I do not know his family but he spoke of his family and friends often and he loved...
