Not sure what to say?

Did this individual have a brother who was killed in NYC during his steelworker job on the Chrysler Building? was there more than one Matusek's Market? I have a photo of the front of the market with his nephew John Joseph Matusek of Northampton Mass, my father.

What a wonderful man. Although we moved from Mocanaqua when I was young, I remember him from all of our trips back for vacations to Babcia Bolinski´s house. He always had a smile, was so willing to help and a wonderful community man. Fran Yurkoski Shayka

"A soldier has passed away today." You have made your final assault on the beachhead. The final battle is now over and peace has been restored. You are now relieved from your post. A job well done fellow veteran. America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom. We all are grateful for your stepping up to the plate when your country needed you the most. The final bugle has sounded and taps is about to sound ending a successful career as a nation´s defender. ...

The Matusek market has been the Mocanaqua establishment with a wonderful family owning and operating it. I have such fond memories of shopping there and Joe delivering our meat order every Friday night. John was a joy to speak and deal with. My heartfelt sympathies go out to his family and also the wife and family of his son John. Couldn't ask for a nicer family.

Mr. Matusek was a great man, so kind and always had a smile for everyone. He and his family were such an important part of the community, and I have many great memories of visiting their store. My condolences to your family. May he rest in peace.

Thank You for your service Mr. Matusek. A life well lived. My you rest in peace.

I meet Mr Matusek, when I worked with his brother Frank on Penn Dot when we worked in Mocanaqua we would go there for lunch he was a true gentleman along with his whole family at the store he is an angel looking over his family. Rest in peace
