So sorry to hear of John's passing! It was truly a privilege to have called him a friend. I worked with him in the I.E. department at Hobart and his contagious laughter and upbeat personality always made our day. I remember one year he brough back a Notre Dame pennant for my young son. For him i was able to get one of Woody Hay's book autographed for him. It made me so happy to be able to do this for him. I my one regret is not keeping in contact with him after he left Hobart. Thank you, Mr. Mauro, for being a part of our lives. You and Rita always gave our dog Julie a biscuit when you saw her out in our yard, and you gave us delicious tomatoes from your garden. Knowing you were there made it "a beautiful day in the neighborhood!" No matter who lives there in the future, the house will always be "the Mauros' house."
