Shirley and family,
I have known John since I was 12 years old when he was a member of the Portage Fire Department. I called him "Daddy John" , and he was a member of my wedding party. Since his retorement from the Department I have not seen much of him but he has always been in my thought s prayers. I have and will continue to miss him. Sharon he would have known me by Hicks then Greenman.
He is at peace now.

I am so sorry for the loss of John, Shirley. He was a wonderful man and had a heart of gold. He is going to be missed terrible. John was very special to me , as he was to everyone he knew. My thoughts a prayers are with you and the family at this time Shirley. May God bless you all.

Shirley, saddened to hear about John's passing. He was quick with a smile and always lived life to the fullest. He was a good golf partner, a better bowling teammate, and a great friend. He will be missed, but never forgotten.
