Not sure what to say?

Well John another season has passed without the Tribe winning a World Series. Old Buddy this year's playoff was pretty tough to endure without you and I truly missed our hour long talks about Giants and Tribe baseball.

You were one heck of a guy and I wish I had a recording of your magnificent laugh and wit! I hope heaven has email so whenever the Tribe or the Browns finally win that elusive WS or SB! You would probably say "Well its about damn time!"

I went to school with John from maybe third or fourth grade. He was always funny and nice. We graduated in `65. My sympathy to his family.

We were classmates and childhood friends growing up in the same neighborhood. Camping in the woods, playing baseball on our homemade field, all day/one price golfing, and enjoying being young together. John was a good friend. He knew how to laugh. Sad to say goodbye to a classmate. John Cassily BHS `65

So sorry to hear of his passing. Prayers to his family. Graduated with John class of 65. So many of our class has passed way to soon.

Prayers and condolences to the Maxwell family. Knew John from Wolff Development, a Little League championship and on into high school to graduate with him in `65. Had not spoken to him in a couple of years. Fond memories of our youth. May John rest in peace, now and forever.

I am so sadded to hear of John passing. He was one my husbands Tom Lamb best friends since 1957. My prayers are with the Maxwell family.

Spent way too much time in Stillwell Cafeteria leaving no crossword puzzle unsolved. The biggest Cleveland sports fan and a great guy. He is missed.

A great guy, a great friend, a leader among Madden´s men. Godspeed. Jim Pinter

So sorry to hear of Trapper John's passing.......was fortunate enough to meet him in the right field bleachers at old municipal stadium, through our shared disgust with Ken Aspromonte as manager....we'd see each other there game after game and a great friendship grew from that.....he was a great guy who was always there when you needed a hand with something, or just needed to talk through something. A great guy. Condolences to the Maxwell family. will have to hoist a Stroh's and a shot of...
