My condolences to family [email protected] BLAKE FORREST MCBEE

The curtain on Mayall's long, rich life is a deep burgundy velvet with gold brocade and dusty clouds of memories from many acts and characters. He influenced many big wheels but Mayall was a fulsome entertainer and recording artist. There were dance numbers on the jukebox at the beer garden where I drank and later worked. Then in 1979, a guy took me to see the Bluesbreakers live. He wouldn't dance but urged me on and that night I learnt that to dance alone with a quality live band was to kiss...

Once seen (and heard!) never forgotten. Thank for all you did in promoting the wonderful Blues. RIP.

Thank you for the music.
I was lucky to see John and the band in Australia in the early 70's.
Such a brilliant musician and singer.

Sending condolences to John family and friends during this time of grief and sorrow. May Almighty God comfort you and give you the strength to cope. Also may the fond memories always be cherished.

Your heart soon will be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Listening to his music with my brother as teens.

Best music ever! K have very fond memories of his music in the early 70s. RIP Mr. Mayall!

I jam to his records on a regular basis. For my generation of musicians he's simply a legend. Wonderful and humble man
