As first cousins, John and I were geographically separated but were always kindred spirits. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of the history of Haverstraw and Rockland County. His re-telling of those stories could be told with absolutely hilarious delivery. A brilliant whit and an extraordinarily kind human being, he will be sorely missed by his extended family as well as those who knew him well.
