John passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018. John was a resident of Richmond, Virginia at the time of passing. He graduated from Notre Dame University magna cum laude in 1966. He continued his service with the Marines as a Reservist until 1977. Visitation is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 26, at Bliley's Central, 3801 Augusta Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Gayton Rd. A reception will immediately follow at Hermitage Country Club. The family asks that the burial of their loved one in Greenwood Cemetery be a private ceremony. John and Becky are such wonderful people. I feel eternally grateful for having the opportunity to meet John. His generosity lives on in his charitable giving. I wish I could have asked him about his experience at Notre Dame and in the Marines.
