Not sure what to say?

One of my first memories of playing basketball is attending the Jack McCloskey Girl's Basketball camps at Alvernia. Not only was Jack a great coach and motivator, but also a kindhearted and caring person. I owe a great deal of my success to Mr. McCloskey and will forever by grateful to him. I don't know much about his family life but I offer my condolences.

Peg - Your husband and I were friends and teammates at Central Catholic. After receiving a call about his passing, I told my wife stories about him and the time we shared for nearly an hour. He was a terrific fellow who will live on in our memories.

My thoughts and prayers are with the McCloskey Family. He was a great man and a great coach, and will be missed.

Please accept my deepest sympathy.
Mr. McCloskey was a teacher of mine and a great influence (BASH Class of '89). He will surely be missed!

Peg, Jack was a great educator, Coach and friend. I worked with him at North Schuylkill. He turned our basketball program into a winner. I was the Ass't. A.D. at the time. May God grant you and your family the love and faith that Jack would want you to have.
