Not sure what to say?

Mr McCrossin was my woodshop teacher for 3 years, 1985-87. I remember my family couldn't afford the wood for the final project in 87 and he paid for it out of his pocket. I also recall seeing the Challenger Space Shuttle disaster in his office... that was the first time Id ever seen a grown man cry. He was a mentor, an advocate and a thorough professional. When you hear the common question, "who was your favorite teacher?", without hesitation it´s a tie... My Dad and Mr McCrossin.

To all the McCrossin family I extend my deepest condolences. I was fortunate and blessed to be a part of Johns "other" family- Hoopaholics. I'm sure he had many othe families -school, teams etc. but he was loved by all of us - he will be missed..

McCrossin Family,
John was my boss, my friend and my co-worker. I've taught physics to Kyle and I've visited your home/family. All of you are held in high reguard. I will miss John. I am sorry that he lost his battle to cancer and is no longer with us. He was dedicated, honest kind and hard working. May God bless you somehow in this time.
Mr. Howell

Our son Stephen was fortunate
to have been coached by John at Sumner High School. It was always fun to watch John 'work' the sidelines & the refs. To say he was enthusiastic about basketball, education & his family, would be the understatement of the century. Sumner H.S.'s loss was Fife's gain. Thank you for trying to bring out the best in everyone. RIP

John, you touched many lives. Thank you for that. Rest now. You will be missed.

We are deeply saddened to hear of Johns passing. Whether it was on the court or off the court John was a great competitor and friend. He always had a that wry smile and engaging demeanor. What a special man! He will be miss by many.

May God be with you in your time of sorrow.

The Koessler family is so saddened to hear of Johnny Mac's passing. We have such good memories of playing on a great basketball team with him. One of our greatest memories is when we needed to draw up a play during a timeout (which was rare), we had so many coaches on our team (John, Mel Ninnis, Joe Callero, Brian Hagbo) all talking at the same time we usually needed a second time out for them to all finish outcoaching each other. Our thoughts and prayers are with Connie and the McCrossin...

I was so very sorry to hear of the passing of John McCrossin. One of the nicest men I have ever met. We worked together for several years in Fife. His greatest legacy to me will always be those two great boys that he and Connie have raised into fine young men. They have his razor wit, his flawless integrity and the ability to be loved by so many for a lifetime. Rest in peace, John.

Our hearts break for John's passing so early in life. John made such a positive impact on so many lives he touched in our community. John's smile, laughter, and his vision for education will never be forgotten! What a brave man and so lucky to have such a loving family! Our thoughts and prayers go out to Connie, Kyle, Kevin, and Family during this oh so difficult time. This close knit community mourns with you and please don't hesitate to let us help in any way! May God Bless you all at...
