Dr. John Weigand McDonald

My dear friend and my doctor of 51 years. We miss you more each day. Jim, Florence,Jamie, and Brian

I am saddened and crushed by the news of the loss of Dr. McDonald. He was my doctor for fifty years,since I was five years old. The last time I saw him was about a month ago. I was shocked to see him hooked to an oxygen tank but still doing his work. It made me feel like my problems were so small. Truely an inspirational momment from an always inspirational man. I'll have to stand in line with the many who will miss him.

Dear Debbie and Tony,
I only saw the Record Sunday. I cannot accept that John(Dad) is gone. He's been my doc and friend for more than 35 years. Being late in life fathers we shared so much so often as Tony and then my sons grew and that beyond his amazing medicine. My family is forever grateful for the input which helped us know Don Bosco was right for Brian. Medically he always knew immediately what to do, what was wrong and clearly explained why. To Mrs. McDonald and staff,

My deepest sympathy to you on your loss. I was a patient for only a few years, but I will miss Dr. McDonald so much. He understood polio and remembered the epidemics. He treated me as if I meant something to him and made the sign of the cross on my forehead several times making me feel truly blessed. He was a genuinely good man who will be greeted by God and rewarded in heaven.

We not only lost a brilliant doctor, we lost a beautiful, wonderful, kind caring man.

We will miss you Dr. McDonald. No one can fill yours shoes.

Dear Debbie, Tony, Family and Staff, I was deeply sadden to hear of the passing of Doctor McDonald. He was truly the George Baily of Cliffside Park as evidenced by the love of the people who paid their respects to a giving man.
