Not sure what to say?

I am deeply saddened that John is gone, he was everyone's big brother and always smiling and laughing. We did not get to see a lot of him but he was always in the family news. I thought it was really interesting the things John did with his time and it inspired me to follow along especially with the Civil War events and family history. It seems like just yesterday we were all kids without a care in the world, but I realize time passes and so does life. My thoughts are with all his brothers,...

Our deepest sympathies to all of John's family. May God Bless and comfort you all.

My deepest sympathies to you and your family. I went to school with Kevin and Mary Ann and would like to extend sympathies to them as well.

As kids, my brother Dan and I played with John and Michael. We once built a fort in the woods near the McFeters house. We had hammers, a keg of nails and a woods full of sticks. We named the fort a derivation of our names: Fort McClawfoot.
My condolences to the McFeters family.
Rest in peace John.

Dear Karen and Family,
I first knew John when I was three years old, and I was delighted when he came back into the family 30 years later. I loved him then, and I love him now. We are so sorry for your loss. He touched so many lives just by living with integrity, kindness, and gentleness. Ian only met him the once, but they clicked right away. John was a wonderful example of how to love one's neighbor, and his bright smile will be long remembered. You are in our thoughts and...

Melanie & Poppy,
Please accept our deepest sympathy in the loss of your brother and uncle.

I grew up as a kid knowing the whole McFeters clan (as it was back in the 60s and 70s)-- John and his sisters, brothers and parents. He was a great guy from a great family; when my siblings get together, we still talk fondly about the McFeters family and how much we liked ALL of them. We are sorry to hear of John's passing.

Dear Karen,
This is a wonderful picture of John that shows him doing what he loved which was, of course, participating with his fellow "Sons." Plus, the smile was so typical of John.
John was truly a nice person, through and through. I am so glad
that I knew him.
Karen, my prayers are always with you.
