Read MoreI met John late in his life. He was one of a group of retirees that met for coffee, mornings, at the Gaines McDonalds. He shared that he had been a teacher, and was active in the Knights of Columbus. He was a graduate of Aquinas College, something we had in common. He was an interesting person and seemed a kind and gentle man. I enjoyed knowing John MaGavin.

I had Mr. McGavin for my 5th grade teacher (more than 60 years ago). He was so very nice and an excellent teacher. I believe he was made principal the same or next year. RIP Mr. McGavin and condolences to your family.
