I was USN and John USMC at NAS Meridian for basic jets and on to NAS Beeville for advanced and wings. While at Meridian we rode to NewOrleans for a weekend. Taking a curve somewhere in Miss. I tried to stay with John and I crossed the road into a ditch. John knew how to ride; I did not. No damage, no bruises. We all got a laugh out of it, especially John. He had a great laugh and sense of humor. A great guy, very great. Bob DeGiorgio, Capt. USN-ret.
