I loved hearing John on WOSU-FM and was so sad when he died way too young. I have come across an exquisite article he wrote in Columbus Monthly March 1988 entitled, "Capturing the ancient sounds." I don't know who in the universe will ever read this.... While driving today I was listening to WOSU and John came to mind. In 1981 I was a new mom at home with our daughter nearly 24/7. I loved that time in my life and it was made all the sweeter by John McGrody's choice of and introduction to classical music on WOSU. It was the background of our lives. You may recall we met sitting at the same table with you and John at the reception following the memorial program for Ida Terkel.
