Not sure what to say?

Thinking again of the loss of Alton. My parents and his parents were good friends. We lived very near each other. I still live in the home where I grew up. I loved Alton's ever present smile and his kind manner. I will always treasure my memories of our Parents, our Church and our Neighborhood. Gone too soon.

Cappie,
I just found out today about Alton's passing. He was one great guy and a true friend. My condolences to you.

"Al" and I were classmates and friends in college. Over the ensuing years, I never forgot his wild, fun-loving personality. He was very intelligent and could be a serious, determined student. Although the "fox" is gone, I'll continue to remember him fondly and his impact on my life during that time and setting.

I cannot begin to say how sad we all (the Bob Hall family) were to lose such a wonderful man as Alton. We just heard from Ed, and are completely heartbroken to know that we no longer get to see that smile, hear those stories, and enjoy the laughter. We send our love, prayers, and hugs your way. Bob & Coleen Hall, Robin & Teddy (Fayetteville, AR)

Alton was a friend since college, a stand up man, and dedicated wooden boat capt. I enjoyed his company and seeing him at Becky's wedding...our prayers go out.

Dear Cappy and Ally:
I am so very sorry for your loss. I have been praying for Alton ever since I first heard of his illness. You all know what a good man he was and where he is now will allow him to keep an eye on his family and friends. I know that I am just one of many who will miss him dearly.

To the John Alton McIver III Family,
Naturally we were saddened to hear about Alton's passing. Our prayers are with Alton and the entire McIver family. The "Fox" was truly a class individual who influenced all of us with his congenial personality. Although we mourn his death, we celebrate his life and treasure his companionship. He was a "great" friend and will be missed dearly.

Alton will alwyas be remembered as a fun loving guy who was sincerely nice. He was always smiling and laughing. We need more Alton's in our lives and we are sorry to lose the original. God's blessings on his loved ones.

I am so sorry I am unable to attend the services for Alton as I just read about it a few minutes ago.
I have worked with Alton for over 20 years in the insurance business and he was very well respected. Always a gentlemen and he will be greatly missed.
