I met Big John when his family moved to Newark. We were in the Class of 1965. We reconnected when John and Carol moved back to Newark in the 70´s, and a life long friendship began. We enjoyed many road trips together, many with Tom Shear to Turning Stone and Atlantic City. We played a lot of cards and had many enjoyable times. John was always there for me when I needed him. I consider him to be my best friend, and I will miss him a lot. RIP my friend.
