Heartfelt condolences are extended to your family at this difficult time. Seek the love and support God provides to help you cope during this time - Psalms 29:11

I have known Father John since grade school. His parents and he would come to Lakeville,Ma. to race grayhounds in season. They would stay at my parents home. He was a good friend. RIP Father Jack.

I was a cantor, flute player for Father McLaughlin at Blessed Sacrament for 10 years. Father M was a loving, compassionate priest who valued the music in liturgy. He always made me feel that our music was so very important to the mass. Rest In Peace Fr M

I first met Fr John in the summer of 1966 when along with his parents, Jack & Helen he came to his father's home in Malin Co. Donegal. I served the Latin mass for him every day of their vacation. We had kept in contact for all of that time, 51 years, a long friendship. I will miss our chats on the phone but I know he is now at peace with the Lord.

As I looked at all the photos I was reminded that two Saints, John Paul II and Mother Theresa both visited St Martha's and Father John. He was honored but I think the first day his parents walked into and saw the Church their son built was even a prouder day for him. I was so lucky to have him as my pastor for sixteen of my 46 years at St Martha's

Rest in peace Father. I am a former parishner from St. Martha and remember how welcoming you were to everyone.

Heaven just gained another angel looking after us!!!
As a parish priest,Father McLaughlin was always very creative in involving his parishioners in the liturgy. Both my 2 boys were altar servers.
One midnight mass he asked the whole family to join the entrance procession,me holding the Virgin Mary,my youngest, Martha holding baby Jesus, she must have been 3 or 4 years or old,my husband holding St. Joseph, the 2 boys also processed with us and warned us not to drop what we were...

We were members of Blessed Sacrament Church for many years, and both our children were alter servers, for Father McLaughlin. We count our selves lucky to say he was our friend. He was a beautiful man inside and out!
