Not sure what to say?

I am very sorry to learn of John's passing---so many memories spent with him from our work experiences with LaVerdiere's to our road trips to Red Sox and Patriot games as well as spending time at his home in Gorham. Never a dull minute spent with John and as with life you meet certain people who stand out and you can call them a true friend and certainly John is one of them. I will miss you my friend and thank you for the many years of your friendship.

Just wanted to send my condolences to John's family. I only met him a few times but he was a good person to my father, and for that I am grateful that my dad had him. Rest In peace john, I hope dad met you at the gates with some good old rock n roll

I worked with John for many years as his right hand woman. He was funny, warm, understanding, and oh so brilliant. My heart is heavy.

I was so sad to hear of my friend John's passing. I first met John in 1977 as I was assigned to replace him at a LaVerdieres pharmacy in Portland , Maine. It quickly became clear that you didn't replace John! His customers loved him because he just had way to connect with people. He always made it look so easy, but he was always there to help when you needed him. John became my mentor and friend and his support gave me my start in my career. For that, I will forever be grateful . As often...

A kind, warm, funny, generous and wonderful guy to spend time with. He had a great knack of uplifting everyone's spirits. I truly enjoyed seeing him and offer my sincere sympathy on his passing to his entire family. Godspeed John.

Mr. McMenamy,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

I met John, when i had a toddler son and a husband diagnosed with Cancer. I cannot tell you how much stress that is. John knew. He was ever so kind to me. Its funny how what seems to be a small thing means so much to people. I would have my sons sleeping in the car, run in, throw the prescripion on the counter run back out to the car... he came out and said to me "your script is ready, i will sit with him while you pick it up and pay." i wanted to cry. Thank you John for your kindness to me...

Johnny was always a great presence and always knew how to let loose and have a good time. First time meeting was at the Pharmacy in gorham. Not knowing he lived across the street from my best friend where we always went to shoot pool!
