Subject: A true Southern Gentleman of the First Magnitude

It was with sadness that I learned of the passing of John Hale McNinch Sr., 64, of Flat Rock, N.C., identical twin brother of Robert McNinch of Lenox, who died June 7 in Mission Hospital in Asheville, N.C., after a short illness.
A couple of weeks earlier while touring the McNinch home and new addition, Bob and I spoke of John and how he was doing. That conversation revolved around...

Dear Jan,
I was at TV Travel at Phipps with Sally in the seventies (!!) and remember you so fondly.
Fig and Sally kept Kent and me updated on you for a long time- your wonderful marriage to John, the children and I believe I remember hearing that you were in NC right near where we all went to camp (my Family) at Tuxedo.
Jan, I am so sorry. John must have been a terrific guy. You must miss him so much.
You were the prettiest, most fun, animated Delta person!! Our res....

Dear Hale, Kelly and Leigh, I was so saddened to hear the news of your dad death. I will tell Ashley, Brian and Shelly and would like to give them your email address. Please accept our sympathies. Sharon Manning Spofford and Paul Spofford

Dear Jan and family. Please accept my sincere condolences over John's passing. He was truly a joy to be around, a true professional and one of the most charmingly irrreverent people I have ever met. And, I mean that in the most respectful manner. He will truly be missed.

Dear McNinch Family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. John and I were classmates at Delta in September 1969. He was one of the "good guys," always a smile and a knack for making you laugh. Over the years I always enjoyed our all too brief meetings in operations. John was a true professional. He will be dearly missed.

Dear Leigh, Hale and Kelly:
My condolences go out to all of you. I am honored to say that I knew both your mom and dad. Two of the greatest people I’ve ever met. I wish all of you were still my next-door neighbors. Your family always made me feel welcome in your home and I miss you all greatly. You will always be welcome in my home. I hope that we see each other again some day.

Jan...We were so very sorry to hear of John's death and want you and the McNinch Family to know you will all be in our thoughts and prayers. God bless you and our deepest sympathy. Vic and Bev Riccardi

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. John was a great guy and a good Delta friend.

Dear McNinch family,
We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Annette attended Garringer in its first year, with John. Bill attended Myers Park but also knew and admired John and Bobby. We hope for peace and solace for your entire family.
